Ndumisa Shongwe vs Paulo Nhlapo

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at UJ Stadium, Johannesburg,  taking place on 02/07/2033:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ndumisa Shongwe (8 - 2 - 3) who hails from Boksburg, South Africa and Paulo Nhlapo(17 - 20(2) - 1) from Soweto, South Africa.  Shongwe weighed in at 111 pounds and 10 ounces, while Nhlapo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Oosthuizen, and the three ringside judges are Jabulani Segolela, Puleng Kathrada and John Kisombo.  

Round 1: 

Shongwe is looking to close the distance.  Nhlapo throws a left hook, but Shongwe clinches his opponent.  Shongwe is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Shongwe advances into close range.  Nhlapo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nhlapo throws a right uppercut, but Shongwe ties up his opponent.  Shongwe leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Shongwe's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Shongwe lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Shongwe ties up his opponent.  Shongwe pushes his forearm into Nhlapo's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Shongwe.  
Shongwe lands a cross.  
Shongwe closes the distance.  Nhlapo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Shongwe lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Shongwe is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook.  
Nhlapo switches the action to the outside.  Shongwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Shongwe closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Shongwe advances into close range and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Shongwe manages to force Nhlapo into the corner.  Shongwe drives a right hook into Nhlapo's body.  
As Shongwe tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Nhlapo.  That has caused a slight cut .  
Shongwe throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Shongwe holds on to his opponent.  Shongwe leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Shongwe feints a left, and then snaps his opponents head back with a stiff jab.  Shongwe attempts to land a jab, but Nhlapo dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shongwe tries to land a left hook, but Nhlapo sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Shongwe lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Shongwe clinches his opponent.  Shongwe is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Shongwe manages to force Nhlapo into the corner.  Shongwe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the body.
