Shayan Sharif vs Jack MacCarthy

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at California Memorial Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 11/08/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shayan Omar Sharif (44(42) - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Jack MacCarthy(25(9) - 3) from New York City, USA.  Both Sharif and MacCarthy weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Merricks, and the three ringside judges are Gethin Jasmin, Seferino Cossio and Henry Betton.  

Round 1: 

Sharif advances into close range.  MacCarthy lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sharif gets on the inside and tries to land a right hook, but MacCarthy blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Sharif lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Sharif lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Sharif connects with a solid left hook.  
MacCarthy connects with a firm overhand left.  MacCarthy attempts to land an overhand left, but Sharif slips the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
MacCarthy switches the action to the outside.  MacCarthy sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  MacCarthy throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sharif lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  MacCarthy recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sharif lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
MacCarthy tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Sharif tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Sharif is on target with a jab.  
MacCarthy is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Sharif is on target with a solid cross.  
Sharif digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
MacCarthy lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Sharif wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as MacCarthy dabs at his face checking for damage.  
MacCarthy steps to the outside and lands a jab.  
Sharif hits home with a solid left hook.  
MacCarthy is on target with a firm right uppercut.  
Sharif is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sharif walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  MacCarthy is on target with a left hook.  
Sharif lands two left hooks followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Sharif connects with a solid right hook.  
Sharif connects with a FEARSOME left hook.  MACCARTHY IS HURT!  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as MacCarthy dabs at his face checking for damage.  MacCarthy almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Sharif steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Sharif EXPLODES a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  MACCARTHY IS HURT!  MacCarthy almost instantly gets his legs back. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...MacCarthy's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  MacCarthy's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Sharif advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Sharif tries to land a left hook, but MacCarthy parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
MacCarthy attempts to land a jab, but Sharif sidesteps and counters with a nasty cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE MACCARTHY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Sharif steps inside.  Sharif is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Sharif lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MACCARTHY!  He manages to get up at 5.  
MacCarthy steps to the outside.  Sharif connects with a WICKED right hook.  MACCARTHY IS DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Sharif!
