Mick Purvis vs Alejandro Mero

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Stanford Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 31/08/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mick the Beast Purvis (11(9) - 1(1)) who hails from Georgetown, Guyana and Alejandro Mero(17(2) - 5(3)) from Monterrey, Mexico.  Both Purvis and Mero weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dominic Pollino, and the three ringside judges are Gareth Downey, Clinton Proffitt and Morgan Reuben.  

Round 1: 

Purvis connects with a SAVAGE cross.  MERO IS HURT!  Mero recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Mero advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Purvis lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Purvis is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  Purvis tries to land a jab, but Mero blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Mero closes the distance.  Mero pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a firm left uppercut.

Purvis steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Mero steps inside and forces Purvis to back into the corner.  Mero drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.

Purvis is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mero quickly recovers. 
Mero is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Purvis lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Mero is looking to close the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mero dabs at his face checking for damage.

Purvis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.

Purvis stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Purvis lands three consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MERO DOWN!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Mero cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Purvis!
