William McGovern vs Hikaru Anzai

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan’s Boxing promoted show at Higashiyama Park Tennis Center, Nagoya,  taking place on 14/07/2033:

Clearly Japan’s Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are William McGovern (15(10) - 0) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Hikaru Anzai(2 - 6(1) - 1) from Hiroshima, Japan.  Both McGovern and Anzai weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nao Sugiyama, and the three ringside judges are Mikio Yasuda, Hisao Azuma and Michi Kawata.  

Round 1: 

McGovern lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
McGovern stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Anzai lands a cross.  Anzai attempts to land a jab, but McGovern sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
McGovern tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Anzai tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McGovern advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  McGovern clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, McGovern pushes his forearm into Anzai's face.  The referee warns McGovern and breaks the clinch.  
McGovern steps inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Anzai sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  McGovern lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
McGovern sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging cross.  
McGovern hits home with a sharp left hook.  
McGovern lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McGovern quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McGovern connects with a right hook.  McGovern clinches his opponent.  McGovern leans on his opponent using all his weight. McGovern uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Anzai behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Anzai throws a left uppercut, but McGovern ties up his opponent.  McGovern is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McGovern forces Anzai to back into the corner.  McGovern connects with a stinging cross.  
McGovern is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McGovern is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
McGovern drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Anzai attempts to land a cross, but McGovern sidesteps and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
McGovern hits home with a stinging right hook.  
McGovern lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
McGovern steps away from his opponent and lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
McGovern quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
McGovern lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
McGovern switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  Anzai now seems to have his senses back.  
Anzai is looking to close the distance.  McGovern lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Anzai's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Anzai's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Anzai's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Anzai gets on the inside.  McGovern drives a stinging left uppercut into Anzai's body.  
McGovern lands a nasty right hook.  ANZAI WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Anzai quickly recovers. 
McGovern connects with a firm right hook.  
McGovern drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  McGovern throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McGovern finds the target with a jab.  
McGovern steps to the outside.  McGovern sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
McGovern gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  McGovern attempts to land a right hook, but Anzai dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
McGovern lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Anzai walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  McGovern is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Anzai manages to force McGovern onto the ropes.  McGovern finds the target with a jab.  McGovern attempts to land a cross, but Anzai sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Anzai steps inside.  McGovern lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, KNOCKING ANZAI DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is McGovern!
