Iago Rayo vs Francisco Coreas

Boxing Daily Report from the Mashaba Promotions promoted show at Managua Briones, Managua,  taking place on 16/07/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Iago Rayo (19 - 14(3) - 1) who hails from Managua, Nicaragua and Francisco Coreas(15(7) - 1) from Masaya, Nicaragua.  Rayo weighed in at 135 pounds, while Coreas weighed in at 134 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Quinto Clavijo, and the three ringside judges are Franco Charo, Francisco Osegueda and Vicente Aviles.  

Round 1: 

Rayo tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to Rayo's liver.

Coreas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Coreas about fouling.

Coreas advances into close range and throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Coreas ties up his opponent.  Coreas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Coreas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rayo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Rayo stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Coreas is on target with a jab.  
Coreas closes the distance and is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Coreas ties up his opponent.  Coreas is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Coreas's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Coreas lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Rayo is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Coreas advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Rayo throws a right hook, but Coreas clinches his opponent.  Coreas throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Coreas digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  
Coreas lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rayo attempts to land a left hook, but Coreas slips the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Coreas pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Rayo quickly recovers. 
Coreas lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, DROPPING RAYO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Rayo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Rayo pivots to the right of his opponent.  Rayo throws a right uppercut, but Coreas clinches his opponent.  Coreas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Coreas throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head.

Coreas drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.

Rayo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Coreas digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.

Coreas sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Coreas lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook, cross and a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS RAYO TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Rayo can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Coreas!
