Akira Ikehara vs Robert Kinard

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Percival Molson Memorial Stadium, Montreal,  taking place on 06/08/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Ikehara (9(4) - 0) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Robert Kinard(10 - 10(1) - 4) from Calgary, Canada.  Ikehara weighed in at 200 pounds, while Kinard weighed in at 199 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Sid Leys, and the three ringside judges are Bruce Hathorne, Stephen Morton and Michael Patillo.  

Round 1: 

Ikehara lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Kinard finds the target with a jab.  
Ikehara advances into close range.  Kinard pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kinard throws a left hook, but Ikehara clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Ikehara pushes his forearm into Kinard's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
