Robert Riggins vs Jack Morgan

Boxing Daily Report from the Skol Promotions promoted show at Ian Simrell Gym, Auckland,  taking place on 23/07/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Riggins (8 - 12 - 4) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Jack Morgan(19(10) - 1) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Riggins and Morgan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Colin Lawder, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Teague, Dale Mostyn and Declan Haturini.  

Round 1: 

Morgan closes the distance.  Morgan pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Morgan manouvers Riggins onto the ropes.  Morgan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Morgan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to Riggins's body.  
Riggins is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Morgan pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Riggins steps inside.  Morgan backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Riggins attempts to land a right hook, but Morgan sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Morgan hits home with a left hook.  
Morgan lands a left uppercut.  
Morgan gets on the inside.  Morgan drives a left hook into Riggins's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Riggins has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Riggins steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Morgan slips the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Morgan lands a cross, jab and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Morgan closes the distance and digs in a firm right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Morgan hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Riggins tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a cross.  
Morgan is on target with a right hook.  
Riggins tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Riggins's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Riggins's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Riggins steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Riggins sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Morgan lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morgan lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Morgan advances into close range and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Morgan clinches his opponent.  Morgan pushes his forearm into Riggins's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Morgan to stop fouling.  
Morgan is looking to close the distance.  Riggins throws a left uppercut, but Morgan ties up his opponent.  Morgan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Morgan connects with a VICIOUS right hook.  RIGGINS IS HURT!  
Morgan senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Riggins and just needs the right shot.  Morgan lands a cross followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents head, AND SENDS RIGGINS TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  It looks like Riggins has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Riggins is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  Riggins tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Riggins closes the distance.  Morgan lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Morgan connects with a CRUSHING left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE RIGGINS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Riggins almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Morgan lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Morgan closes the distance and connects with a spiteful left hook.  RIGGINS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Riggins almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Riggins steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Morgan sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Riggins steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Riggins lands a solid cross.

Morgan closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Morgan gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Riggins throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Riggins quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Morgan lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Morgan advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Morgan is on target with a left uppercut.  
Riggins advances into close range.  Morgan digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  Morgan clinches his opponent.  Morgan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Morgan's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
