Juan Merlin vs Jose Cantos

Boxing Daily Report from the Ngcobo Promotions promoted show at Havana Leiva, Havana,  taking place on 24/07/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Cuba-Havana Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Merlin (11 - 5 - 2) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Jose Cantos(15 - 11 - 4) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Merlin and Cantos weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neper Quinonez, and the three ringside judges are Diego Villas, Francisco Amaya and Desiderio Estacio.  

Round 1: 

Merlin lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cantos is on target with a left uppercut.  
Merlin steps inside.  Merlin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Cantos goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Merlin's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Merlin is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Cantos lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Merlin closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cantos is on target with a jab.  
Merlin connects with a right hook.  
Merlin quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a left hook.

Cantos gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cantos dabs at his face checking for damage.
