Vince Kipkirui vs Ubanwa Mutai

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Maiyo, Nairobi,  taking place on 28/07/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vince Kipkirui (13 - 9(2) - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Ubanwa Mutai(8 - 4 - 1) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Kipkirui and Mutai weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kashif Haque, and the three ringside judges are Rex Odhieng, Nathan Andersson and Shaun Arusei.  

Round 1: 

Mutai closes the distance.  As Mutai tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kipkirui dabs at his face checking for damage.  Kipkirui has been damaged by the clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Kipkirui throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook to Kipkirui's body.  
Mutai steps inside.  Kipkirui hits home with a left uppercut.  
Mutai connects with a left hook.  
Kipkirui connects with a right hook.  Kipkirui attempts to land a left hook, but Mutai blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Kipkirui pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Mutai gets on the inside and manouvers Kipkirui onto the ropes.  Mutai hits home with a right hook.  
Mutai tries to land a left hook, but Kipkirui sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kipkirui throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Mutai time to recover.  
Mutai walks Kipkirui down, trapping him in the corner.  Kipkirui throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Kipkirui is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kipkirui's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kipkirui's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Mutai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Mutai.  That has caused nasty damage to the nose.  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.
