Diego Ortegon vs Jaguar Alderete

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Candella, Montevideo,  taking place on 04/08/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay-Montevideo Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Diego Ortegon (13(4) - 8(3) - 2) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Jaguar Alderete(7 - 15(3) - 1) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Ortegon weighed in at 199 pounds And 12 ounces, while Alderete weighed in at 201 pounds.    As Alderete came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ximen Feria, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Remedios, Reyes Olmedo and Cuba Leiva.  

Round 1: 

Ortegon steps away from his opponent.  Ortegon feints a left, and then is on target with a jab.  
Ortegon is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ortegon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ortegon switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ortegon steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ortegon sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Ortegon steps inside.  Alderete throws a left uppercut, but Ortegon clinches his opponent.  Ortegon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ortegon digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Ortegon is on target with a left hook.  
Ortegon lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Ortegon lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Alderete pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ortegon lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Ortegon steps to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Ortegon hits home with an overhand right.  
Ortegon advances into close range and is on target with a sharp right hook to Alderete's ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE ALDERETE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alderete's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Alderete's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Ortegon lands a cross followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Ortegon steps inside and is on target with a forceful right hook to Alderete's body.  ALDERETE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Ortegon closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Alderete quickly recovers. 
Ortegon switches the action to the outside.  Ortegon feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Ortegon is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook to Alderete's body.  
Ortegon steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Ortegon ties up his opponent.  Ortegon is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Ortegon and breaks the clinch.  
Alderete manouvers his opponent into a neutral corner.  Alderete hits home with a cross.  
Ortegon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm right hook.

Ortegon closes the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Ortegon holds on to his opponent.  Ortegon is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Ortegon tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Alderete's kidney. 
Ortegon is on target with a nasty left hook.  ALDERETE HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Ortegon!
