Conor Lipton vs Leon MacGowan

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Odyssey Arena, Belfast,  taking place on 27/08/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Celtic Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Conor Lipton (16(4) - 3) who hails from Londonderry, UK and Leon MacGowan(8 - 3 - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Lipton and MacGowan weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Clint Guild, and the three ringside judges are Cillian Dolan, Anthony McCabe and Oisin Beirne.  

Round 1: 

MacGowan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Lipton throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Lipton closes the distance and connects with a right hook.  Lipton holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Lipton pushes his forearm into MacGowan's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Lipton about fouling.

Lipton closes the distance and manouvers MacGowan into a corner.  MacGowan throws a right hook, but Lipton ties up his opponent.  Lipton is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Lipton to stop holding.
