Odin Westgard vs Volund Ege

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Norway-Oslo promoted show at Grand Hotel Oslo, Oslo,  taking place on 05/08/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Norway Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Odin Westgard (31(26) - 5(3) - 1) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Volund Ege(9 - 5(2) - 1) from Oslo, Norway.  Westgard weighed in at 147 pounds, while Ege weighed in at 146 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Quimby Tanberg, and the three ringside judges are Oliver Finstad, Hsin Hetland and Harper Underberg.  

Round 1: 

Westgard lands a ramrod jab.

Ege throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Ege leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  As Ege tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Westgard dabs at his face checking for damage.  Westgard has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Ege is on target with a left hook to Westgard's body.  Westgard ties up his opponent.  Westgard is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Westgard drives a solid right hook into Ege's ribs.  
Westgard is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Westgard feints a cross, and then lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.

Westgard tries to land a left hook, but Ege parries the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Ege gets on the inside.  Westgard is on target with a FIERCE left hook.  EGE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Westgard ties up his opponent.  Ege is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Westgard attempts to land a left uppercut, but Ege slips the shot and counters with a cross.  Ege recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ege's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ege's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Westgard feints a cross, and then lands a straight 1 - 2, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Ege almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Westgard lands a stiff jab.  
Ege cuts off the ring, trapping Westgard on the ropes.  Ege throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Westgard throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Westgard lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Westgard tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ege walks Westgard onto the ropes.  Ege pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Westgard's ribs.  
Westgard steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Ege advances into close range.  Westgard senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Ege and just needs the right shot.  Westgard lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks followed by a cross to his opponents head, DROPPING EGE TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Ege is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Westgard!
