Elia Vitikka vs Nestori Verkko

Boxing Daily Report from the P3P Promotion promoted show at Katajanokka Sports Hall, Helsinki,  taking place on 26/08/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Elia Vitikka (8(7) - 0) who hails from Helsinki, Finland and Nestori Verkko(9 - 18(2) - 3) from Espoo, Finland.  Both Vitikka and Verkko weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Heikki Laitinen, and the three ringside judges are Pekka Waisanen, Aleksi Paatalo and Armas Korpela.  

Round 1: 

Vitikka pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Vitikka pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Vitikka lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  Vitikka throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Vitikka tries to keep the action at long range and lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Vitikka strikes his opponents body with a sharp jab.  
Vitikka lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Vitikka connects with a cross.  
Vitikka lands with a stinging jab.  Vitikka tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Verkko pivots to the side of his opponent.  Vitikka lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Vitikka lands two right hook's to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Vitikka is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Verkko quickly recovers. 
Vitikka pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Verkko quickly recovers. 
Vitikka steps to the outside and hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Vitikka lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Vitikka senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Verkko and just needs the right shot.  Vitikka lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a double right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS VERKKO TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Vitikka tries to step out of his opponents range.  Vitikka lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND VERKKO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Verkko has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Verkko manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Vitikka finds the target with a jab.  
Vitikka lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Verkko recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vitikka drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Vitikka lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Vitikka tries to step out of his opponents range.  Verkko sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Vitikka lands with a stiff jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Verkko's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Verkko's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Vitikka stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Verkko tries to land a cross, but Vitikka blocks the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Vitikka lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Verkko quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Vitikka lands a firm left hook.  
Vitikka tries to step out of his opponents range.  Vitikka feints a jab, tricking Verkko into countering with a right uppercut.  Vitikka is waiting for the shot and counters with a FEARSOME right hook.  VERKKO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Verkko recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Verkko is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Vitikka lands a stiff jab.  
Vitikka feints a right, and then lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Vitikka lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Vitikka lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Verkko lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Vitikka pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a ramrod jab.  
Vitikka lands a hard jab.  
Vitikka lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Verkko sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Vitikka is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head, AND VERKKO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Vitikka!
