Chris Whittet vs Steven Maere

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Adger, Christchurch,  taking place on 31/08/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Whittet (12(1) - 2 - 1(NC)) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Steven Maere(9 - 13(1) - 4) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Whittet weighed in at 130 pounds, while Maere weighed in at 129 pounds And 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Joshua Dallis, and the three ringside judges are Richard Kier, Dave Pera and Ikei Kahu.  

Round 1: 

Whittet lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Maere closes the distance.  Whittet pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Maere advances into close range.  Whittet digs in a solid left hook to Maere's body.  
Whittet hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Whittet steps away from his opponent and lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Maere steps inside.  Whittet drives a left hook into Maere's body.  
Whittet tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a jab.  
Whittet switches the action to the outside.  Maere attempts to land a jab, but Whittet slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Whittet lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Maere gets on the inside and walks Whittet down, trapping him on the ropes.  Whittet lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Maere is looking to close the distance.  Whittet digs in a left hook to Maere's body.  
Whittet is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.
