Imran Salaam vs Yasin Ayub

Boxing Daily Report from the Garabetian Promotions promoted show at Algiers Shakoor, Algiers,  taking place on 14/09/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Algeria Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Canal Algérie, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Imran Salaam (18 - 8(3) - 2) who hails from Algiers, Algeria and Yasin Ayub(18 - 12) from Algiers, Algeria.  Both Salaam and Ayub weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Syed Merzouki, and the three ringside judges are Amer Belmellat, Haaris Merah and Faisal Lahcen.  

Round 1: 

Ayub lands a right hook.  
Ayub advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Ayub hits home with a firm right uppercut.

That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
