Mick Callan vs Brendan Preddy

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Gregor Condie Gym, Calgary,  taking place on 18/09/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mick Callan (5 - 18 - 4) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and Brendan Preddy(19(5) - 2(2)) from Edmonton, Canada.  Callan weighed in at 134 pounds and 5 ounces, while Preddy weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Shillinglaw, and the three ringside judges are Campbell Marques, Wayne Gall and Zachary Sinton.  

Round 1: 

Preddy pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Preddy sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Callan dabs at his face checking for damage.

Preddy advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Preddy quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a solid left hook.  
Preddy gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Preddy lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Preddy holds on to his opponent.  Preddy tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Callan behind the head. 
Callan lands a cross.

Preddy is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Preddy clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Preddy pushes his forearm into Callan's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Preddy about fouling.
