Lavaughn Angwenyi vs John Kones

Boxing Daily Report from the Konga Promotions promoted show at Lavaughn Kimutai Gym, Nairobi,  taking place on 27/09/2033:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya-Nairobi Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lavaughn Angwenyi (21(2) - 10(4) - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and John Kones(14 - 15(2) - 4) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Both Angwenyi and Kones weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Waiyaki, and the three ringside judges are Manu Yator, Lee Rebelo and Rehan Abed.  

Round 1: 

Kones gets on the inside.  Angwenyi throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Angwenyi holds on to his opponent.  Angwenyi pushes his forearm into Kones's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Angwenyi about fouling.
