Corey Lauder vs Owen Jones

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Connecticut promoted show at Circle Hotel, Bridgeport,  taking place on 30/09/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Corey Lauder (13(5) - 0) who hails from Jacksonville, USA and Owen Jones(1 - 0) from Tuscaloosa, USA.  Both Lauder and Jones weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Snape, and the three ringside judges are Gus Phemister, Dave Rennick and Darryl Stephen.  

Round 1: 

Lauder is on target with a jab.  
Lauder sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Lauder quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a stinging cross.  
Jones attempts to land a cross, but Lauder sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Jones.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
