Joey Saam vs Dave Canedo

Boxing Daily Report from the Smokin Joe promoted show at Stanford Stadium, San Francisco,  taking place on 06/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the North American Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joey Big Bam Saam (41(36) - 1) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Dave the heat Canedo(27(16) - 1(1)) from Seattle, USA.  Both Saam and Canedo weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Juarez, and the three ringside judges are Ian Woodhead, Harry Millar and Leon Corona.  

Round 1: 

Canedo is on target with a firm right hook.  Canedo throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Saam advances into close range.  Canedo pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a firm right hook.  
Saam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Saam attempts to land a left hook, but Canedo blocks the shot and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Saam snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Saam attempts to land a jab, but Canedo sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Saam closes the distance.  Canedo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Saam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Saam throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Canedo switches the action to the outside.  Saam lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Saam lands a hard jab.  
Saam lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Canedo switches the action to the outside.  Saam lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Canedo almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Saam EXPLODES a BRUTAL left hook into his opponents face.  CANEDO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Canedo recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Canedo throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.  
Canedo throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Saam tries to land a cross, but Canedo sidesteps and counters with a firm cross.
