Harper Mehl vs Fraco Ruano

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 23/10/2033:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Harper Mehl (19(16) - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Fraco Ruano(17 - 21(5) - 4) from Córdoba, Argentina.  Mehl weighed in at 200 pounds, while Ruano weighed in at 199 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Eoin McCadden, and the three ringside judges are Michael Corcoran, Leon Finnin and Charlie Brisbane.  

Round 1: 

Mehl is looking to close the distance and throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Mehl clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mehl pushes his forearm into Ruano's face.  The ref breaks Mehl's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mehl drives a solid left hook into Ruano's ribs.  
Mehl lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ruano quickly recovers. 
Mehl feints a right, and then connects with a cross.  
Mehl drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Ruano attempts to land a jab, but Mehl sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Mehl advances into close range.  Mehl pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mehl is on target with a firm right hook to Ruano's body.  Mehl clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mehl pushes his forearm into Ruano's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mehl throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Mehl ties up his opponent.  Mehl is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruano switches the action to the outside.  Mehl feints a left hook, and then throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mehl steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Mehl steps inside and lands a left hook, left uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Mehl is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Mehl lands a right uppercut followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS RUANO TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Ruano now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Mehl feints a left, and then hits the target with a stiff jab.  
Mehl is looking to close the distance.  Ruano pivots to the side of his opponent andAs the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ruano.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Mehl lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Mehl holds on to his opponent.  Mehl pushes his forearm into Ruano's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mehl.  
Ruano feints a jab, and then tries to land a cross, but Mehl sidesteps and counters with a stinging cross.  
Mehl gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  
Mehl cuts off the ring, trapping Ruano in the red corner.  Mehl lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mehl holds on to his opponent.  Mehl leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Mehl lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Mehl clinches his opponent.  Mehl leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mehl lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mehl digs in a left hook to Ruano's body.  
Ruano sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mehl lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ruano's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ruano's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ruano's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Mehl sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left hook into Ruano's body.  
Mehl walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Mehl lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  
Mehl gets on the inside and digs in a solid left uppercut to Ruano's liver.  
Ruano steps away from his opponent.  Mehl lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Mehl gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ruano pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mehl lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Mehl advances into close range and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Mehl clinches his opponent.  Mehl leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Mehl advances into close range.  Mehl senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Ruano and just needs the right shot.  Mehl lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS RUANO DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Mehl is on target with a weighty left uppercut to his opponents body.  RUANO IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  It looks like Ruano has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mehl gets on the inside.  Ruano pivots from in front of his opponent.  Ruano attempts to land a right uppercut, but Mehl blocks the shot and counters with a powerful left uppercut.  RUANO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!
