Peter Reuben vs Mark Cherkoian

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Cairns Storer, Cairns,  taking place on 18/10/2033:

Clearly Gold Coast Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Reuben (7 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Mark Cherkoian(12 - 8(3) - 2) from Gold Coast, Australia.  Reuben weighed in at 130 pounds, while Cherkoian weighed in at 129 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bart Albert, and the three ringside judges are John Donohoe, Oliver Aulds and Fraser McNabb.  

Round 1: 

Reuben drives a right hook into Cherkoian's body.  
Cherkoian is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cherkoian steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Reuben sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Cherkoian throws a left uppercut, but Reuben ties up his opponent.  Reuben leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Reuben gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent into the red corner.  Cherkoian is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Cherkoian.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
