Waqas Masri vs Mervyn Floyd

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Utah promoted show at Sam Ferguson Gym, Provo,  taking place on 06/11/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Utah Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Masri (12 - 9 - 2) who hails from West Valley City, USA and Mervyn Floyd(9 - 6(3) - 1) from Provo, USA.  Both Masri and Floyd weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arran Doyle, and the three ringside judges are Kian Ord, Kian Ord and Justin Lloyd.  

Round 1: 

Floyd is looking to close the distance.  Floyd retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Masri accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Floyd.  
Floyd drives a left uppercut into Masri's body.
