Alvino Sotelo vs Dan Ruiz

Boxing Daily Report from the Peanut Promotions promoted show at Albany Capital Centre, Albany,  taking place on 10/11/2033:

Clearly Peanut Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alvino Sotelo (21(14) - 1) who hails from Panama City, Panama and Dan Ruiz(16 - 8(1) - 4) from Las Vegas, USA.  Both Sotelo and Ruiz weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Arthur Pumphrey, and the three ringside judges are Davie Cleary, Blake Keane and Lee Gladstone.  

Round 1: 

Sotelo lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Sotelo ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Sotelo pushes his forearm into Ruiz's face.  The referee warns Sotelo and breaks the clinch.  
Sotelo drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Sotelo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruiz steps to the outside.  Sotelo hits home with a stinging cross.  
Sotelo lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Sotelo is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging right hook to his opponents body.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Sotelo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Sotelo uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ruiz behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sotelo pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sotelo forces Ruiz to back into the ropes.  Sotelo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sotelo steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sotelo digs in a solid right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Sotelo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Sotelo drives a right hook into his opponents ribs.  Sotelo clinches his opponent.  Sotelo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Sotelo lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  Sotelo clinches his opponent.  Sotelo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sotelo lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Sotelo clinches his opponent.  Sotelo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ruiz steps to the outside.  Sotelo feints a left hook, and then connects with a sharp overhand left.  
Sotelo steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Sotelo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Sotelo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sotelo lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Sotelo digs in a firm left hook to Ruiz's ribs.  
Sotelo gets on the inside.  Ruiz pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ruiz throws a left uppercut, but Sotelo holds on to his opponent.  Sotelo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sotelo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sotelo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sotelo walks Ruiz into a corner.  Sotelo is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ruiz's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Ruiz's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Sotelo cuts off the ring, trapping Ruiz on the ropes.  Sotelo lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND RUIZ IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Sotelo drives a right hook into Ruiz's body.  
Ruiz pivots from in front of his opponent.  Sotelo is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Sotelo hits home with a firm left hook.  Sotelo ties up his opponent.  Sotelo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Sotelo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sotelo lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Sotelo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sotelo lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head, AND DROPS RUIZ TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Sotelo knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Sotelo lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head, DROPPING RUIZ TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  It looks like Ruiz has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Sotelo SLAMS a nasty left hook into his opponents face.  RUIZ IS DOWN!  HE ISNT GOING TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Sotelo!
