Ellis Newman vs Nick Mujuru

Boxing Daily Report from the Kuenyehia Promotions promoted show at Chitungwiza Lockey, Chitungwiza,  taking place on 12/11/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Zimbabwe-Harare Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ellis Newman (17 - 11(3) - 2) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Nick Mujuru(20 - 9(2)) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Newman and Mujuru weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lewis Masakadza, and the three ringside judges are Jacob Aulds, Lado Nkala and John Takawira.  

Round 1: 

Mujuru closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Newman hits home with a left hook.  
Mujuru gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Mujuru lands a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Mujuru dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mujuru walks Newman onto the ropes.  Mujuru lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mujuru gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Mujuru has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.

Newman tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Mujuru behind the head. Mujuru is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Newman's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Newman's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Newman's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
