Jack Wathen vs Saad Abdelnour

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 20/11/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Wathen (16(14) - 0) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Saad Abdelnour(10 - 4 - 5) from Mecca, Saudi Arabia.  Wathen weighed in at 168 pounds, while Abdelnour weighed in at 167 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Karl Finnegan, and the three ringside judges are Carl Lyons, Fionn Delaney and Will Nolan.  

Round 1: 

Wathen lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.

Wathen manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Wathen lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  Wathen clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Wathen pushes his forearm into Abdelnour's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wathen about fouling.  
Wathen hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Wathen advances into close range.  Abdelnour drives a left hook into Wathen's liver.  
Wathen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Wathen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Wathen throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Wathen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a stinging right uppercut.  
Abdelnour switches the action to the outside.  Wathen lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Wathen advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Wathen gets on the inside.  Wathen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Abdelnour throws a left hook, but Wathen clinches his opponent.  Wathen hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Wathen.

Wathen gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  Wathen ties up his opponent.  Wathen uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Abdelnour behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Wathen to stop fouling.  
Abdelnour sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Wathen digs in a sharp left uppercut to Abdelnour's body.  
Wathen gets on the inside and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Wathen connects with a solid right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Abdelnour's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Abdelnour's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Abdelnour's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
