Vicente Rodrigo vs Xavier David

Boxing Daily Report from the Bedwei Promotions promoted show at Fortaleza Amorim, Fortaleza,  taking place on 19/11/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Brazil-Ceara Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vicente Rodrigo (18 - 2) who hails from Fortaleza, Brazil and Xavier David(11 - 17(1) - 7) from Fortaleza, Brazil.  Rodrigo weighed in at 134 pounds and 15 ounces, while David weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Juan Duque, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Rodas, Diego Silverio and Nicandro Montijo.  

Round 1: 

Rodrigo advances into close range.  David quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  David attempts to land a right hook, but Rodrigo slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
