Robert Carras vs Paul Kilbride

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Irish Club, Brisbane,  taking place on 30/11/2033:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-Queensland Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Carras (11 - 6(3) - 3) who hails from Gold Coast, Australia and Paul Kilbride(27(7) - 13(4) - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Carras weighed in at 117 pounds and 6 ounces, while Kilbride weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neil McAllaster, and the three ringside judges are Rich James, Fraser McNabb and John Wark.  

Round 1: 

Kilbride gets on the inside and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Carras quickly recovers. 
Carras pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kilbride lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Carras recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kilbride forces Carras to retreat onto the ropes.  Kilbride lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kilbride lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kilbride drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Kilbride closes the distance.  Kilbride sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right uppercuts to the body, and one to the head.  
Kilbride steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Kilbride advances into close range.  Kilbride quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Kilbride lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kilbride manages to force Carras onto the ropes.  Carras throws a right hook, but Kilbride holds on to his opponent.  Kilbride is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Carras sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kilbride lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kilbride dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kilbride steps inside and manages to force Carras into a corner.  Kilbride lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  Kilbride ties up his opponent.  Kilbride pushes his forearm into Carras's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kilbride.  
Kilbride steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Kilbride clinches his opponent.  Kilbride throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Kilbride.  
Kilbride closes the distance and is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Kilbride gets on the inside.  Carras throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Kilbride lands a sharp left uppercut.  Kilbride holds on to his opponent.  Kilbride leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Carras's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Carras's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Kilbride is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Kilbride advances into close range and is on target with a powerful left uppercut to Carras's ribs.  CARRAS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Kilbride steps inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Kilbride lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Kilbride attempts to land a left hook, but Carras blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Kilbride sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Kilbride digs in a solid left hook to Carras's body.  
Carras switches the action to the outside.  Kilbride lands a telling cross to Carras's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE CARRAS WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!

Carras quickly recovers.
