Gennady Cherkasov vs Pyotr Afanasyev

Boxing Daily Report from the Latek Promotions promoted show at Luka Sokolski Gym, Barnaul,  taking place on 01/12/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Altai Krai Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gennady Cherkasov (2 - 8 - 2) who hails from Barnaul, Russia and Pyotr Afanasyev(12(5) - 2) from Barnaul, Russia.  Both Cherkasov and Afanasyev weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Toma Zaretsky, and the three ringside judges are Georgiy Golub, Pyotr Kowaleski and Arseni Maltsev.  

Round 1: 

Afanasyev drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Afanasyev holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Afanasyev pushes his forearm into Cherkasov's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Afanasyev.
