Matt Paden vs James Cornog

Boxing Daily Report from the John Wayne promoted show at Indianapolis Masterton, Indianapolis,  taking place on 04/12/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Indiana Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Matt Paden (7 - 13(1) - 6) who hails from Fort Wayne, USA and James Cornog(15 - 11 - 5) from Fort Wayne, USA.  Both Paden and Cornog weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bart Fyfe, and the three ringside judges are Bryan Maffett, Sam Skilling and Daniel Pye.  

Round 1: 

Paden quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Paden tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Paden pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Cornog steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Cornog drives a left hook into Paden's ribs.  
Cornog switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Paden lands an overhand left.  
Cornog tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Paden's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Cornog's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.
