Bryan Dougal vs Chris Fergusson

Boxing Daily Report from the Mr. Vicious promoted show at National Stadium, Dublin,  taking place on 18/12/2033:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bryan Dougal (8(7) - 0) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Chris Fergusson(19 - 10(1) - 8) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Dougal and Fergusson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua MacCarthy, and the three ringside judges are Michael Dillon, Ronan Murphy and Mel Mohan.  

Round 1: 

Dougal lands with a sharp jab.  
Dougal gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Dougal forces Fergusson to retreat into a corner.  Dougal is on target with a left uppercut to Fergusson's body.  
Dougal is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Dougal lands a jab.  
Dougal steps inside.  Dougal sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dougal is on target with a firm right hook to Fergusson's body.  Dougal clinches his opponent.  Dougal is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Dougal's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dougal is looking to close the distance and whips in a spiteful left hook to Fergusson's body.  FERGUSSON IS HURT!  Dougal holds on to his opponent.  Dougal pushes his forearm into Fergusson's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Fergusson recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Dougal lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Fergusson quickly recovers. 
Dougal throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Dougal ties up his opponent.  Dougal leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Dougal pushes his forearm into Fergusson's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Fergusson lands a jab.  
Dougal is looking to close the distance and digs in a stinging left uppercut to Fergusson's ribs.  
Dougal walks his opponent into the red corner.  Dougal whips in a hurtful right uppercut to his opponents body.  FERGUSSON IS HURT!  Fergusson quickly recovers. 
Dougal hits home with a right hook.  
Dougal lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Dougal closes the distance.  Dougal sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a firm right hook.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dougal dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Dougal manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Dougal is on target with a solid right hook to Fergusson's body.  
Dougal digs in a right uppercut to Fergusson's ribcage.  
Dougal lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dougal digs in a right uppercut to Fergusson's body.  
Fergusson sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dougal lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Dougal closes the distance and digs in a firm left hook to his opponents body.  FERGUSSON WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fergusson's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Fergusson's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Fergusson's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  It looks like Fergusson has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Dougal drives a firm left uppercut into Fergusson's liver.  Dougal clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
