James Banks vs Hugh Ivers

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Scotland promoted show at John MacPhail Gym, Glasgow,  taking place on 17/12/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Banks (13(2) - 6 - 2) who hails from Dundee, UK and Hugh Ivers(6 - 7(1) - 3) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both Banks and Ivers weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Abdul Arif, and the three ringside judges are Bruce McBeth, Gordon Arnott and Joseph Menelaws.  

Round 1: 

Banks attempts to land a left hook, but Ivers dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Banks closes the distance.  Ivers tries to land a left hook, but Banks slips the shot and counters with a firm right hook.

Banks closes the distance and digs in a firm left hook to Ivers's ribs.  Banks ties up his opponent.  Banks throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ivers's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Ivers's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Ivers's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Banks tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ivers's kidney. Banks pushes his forearm into Ivers's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Banks to stop fouling.  
Banks lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Banks lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Banks gets on the inside.  Banks sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Banks quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut to Ivers's ribcage.  
Banks throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Ivers to the neutral corner.  He lectures Banks but does not take away a point.  
Ivers advances into close range and throws a right uppercut, but Banks holds on to his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Ivers walks Banks down, trapping him on the ropes.  Banks lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Ivers manouvers Banks onto the ropes.  Banks digs in a right hook to Ivers's body.  Banks throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Banks steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Banks lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ivers throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Banks lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Banks is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Banks lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Banks clinches his opponent.  Banks leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Banks is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Banks to stop fouling.  
Banks stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Banks lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND IVERS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Ivers has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.
