Lewis Simpson vs Sam Blackley

Boxing Daily Report from the Namugerwa Promotions promoted show at Calgary Cloyd, Calgary,  taking place on 19/12/2033:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lewis Simpson (12 - 22 - 5) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and Sam Blackley(7 - 6 - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Simpson and Blackley weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Haddow, and the three ringside judges are Robert Methvin, Dale Biggs and Rob Spade.  

Round 1: 

Simpson goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Blackley to the neutral corner.  He has a stern word with Simpson and threatens a point deduction if continues to foul.  
Blackley quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Simpson lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
