Eduardo Benavides vs Santiago Nunez

Boxing Daily Report from the Pacific and Andean Promotions promoted show at Estadio Oscar Ramos Cabieses, Lima,  taking place on 28/01/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Eduardo Benavides (2 - 0 - 1) who hails from Lima, Peru and Santiago Nunez(5 - 13 - 1) from Lima, Peru.  Benavides weighed in at 233 pounds, while Nunez weighed in at 243 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Carlos Benavidez, and the three ringside judges are Eloy Sanz, Joaquin Montealegre and Joaquin Rosado.  

Round 1: 

Benavides gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Benavides closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Benavides clinches his opponent.  Benavides is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Benavides is looking to close the distance.  Nunez throws a left uppercut, but Benavides ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Benavides pushes his forearm into Nunez's face.  The referee warns Benavides and breaks the clinch.
