Urvano Espana vs John Lemonds

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Cebu City Sports Complex, Cebu City,  taking place on 28/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ABS Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Urvano Espana (15(13) - 2(1)) who hails from Santa Maria, Philippines and John Lemonds(14 - 9(1) - 4) from Sydney, Australia.  Espana weighed in at 153 pounds and 4 ounces, while Lemonds weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Olalia, and the three ringside judges are Vicente Baliad, Oihane Tatlonghari and Vicente Graciano.  

Round 1: 

Lemonds steps inside.  Espana pivots to the right of his opponent.  Espana throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot.  Espana holds on to his opponent.  Espana is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Espana about fouling.  
Espana lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Espana clinches his opponent.  Espana leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Lemonds closes the distance.  Espana lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  Espana ties up his opponent.  Espana leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Espana is on target with a left uppercut to Lemonds's ribs.  
Espana lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Lemonds recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Espana is looking to close the distance.  Lemonds throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Espana time to recover.

Espana gets on the inside and walks Lemonds into the corner.  Espana lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Lemonds quickly recovers.

Lemonds tries to land a left uppercut, but Espana sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lemonds's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lemonds's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Espana quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a telling left uppercut to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES LEMONDS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Espana lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Espana holds on to his opponent.  Espana leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Espana pushes his forearm into Lemonds's face.  The ref breaks Espana's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Espana digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Espana manouvers Lemonds into a neutral corner.  Espana sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lemonds throws a right uppercut, but Espana ties up his opponent.  Espana leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Espana drives a stinging right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Espana lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Espana lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Espana ties up his opponent.  Lemonds tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Espana behind the head. Lemonds steps inside and manouvers Espana into a corner.  Espana lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Espana holds on to his opponent.  Espana leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Espana uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lemonds behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Lemonds steps inside.  Espana lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Espana is looking to force the stoppage!  Espana lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS LEMONDS TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Lemonds now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Espana lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Espana is looking to close the distance and DETONATES a nasty right uppercut on his opponents face.  LEMONDS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE FAILS TO BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Espana!
