Floyd McCardell vs Morgan Lisk

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 14/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Floyd McCardell (7(2) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Morgan Lisk(3 - 4 - 1) from Chicago, USA.  McCardell weighed in at 122 pounds, while Lisk weighed in at 121 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Hier, and the three ringside judges are Ian Noble, Dave Greenan and Ian Sands.  

Round 1: 

McCardell is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Lisk is looking to keep the action on the outside.  McCardell connects with a firm overhand right.  
McCardell gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  McCardell holds on to his opponent.  McCardell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCardell drives a firm left hook into Lisk's liver.  McCardell ties up his opponent.  McCardell is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks McCardell's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
McCardell closes the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
McCardell is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
McCardell lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  McCardell holds on to his opponent.  McCardell is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures McCardell about fouling.

McCardell closes the distance.  Lisk pivots to the right of his opponent.  McCardell lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  
Lisk throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives McCardell time to recover.  
McCardell lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  McCardell ties up his opponent.  McCardell is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
McCardell lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Lisk steps away from his opponent.  McCardell lands a cross.  
McCardell is looking to close the distance.  Lisk pivots from in front of his opponent.  McCardell lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
McCardell advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
McCardell drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lisk's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Lisk's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Lisk's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. McCardell lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  McCardell holds on to his opponent.  McCardell uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Lisk behind the head. 
McCardell is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents liver.

McCardell gets on the inside.  Lisk pivots from in front of his opponent.  McCardell is on target with a left uppercut to Lisk's body.  
McCardell lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
McCardell closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
McCardell advances into close range.  Lisk attempts to land a right uppercut, but McCardell slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

McCardell senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  McCardell lands a cross to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
McCardell lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND LISK IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like Lisk has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

McCardell manouvers Lisk into the corner.  McCardell is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  McCardell lands a VICIOUS cross.  LISK IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT LISK IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is McCardell!
