Brad Laidlaw vs Matt Hopping

Boxing Daily Report from the Awere Promotions promoted show at Jordan Tear Gym, Louisville,  taking place on 04/01/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Kentucky Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brad Laidlaw (9 - 7(1) - 1) who hails from Lexington, USA and Matt Hopping(9 - 11(1) - 7) from Louisville, USA.  Laidlaw weighed in at 112 pounds, while Hopping weighed in at 111 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Erskin, and the three ringside judges are Matthew Hatt, Hugh Days and Dave Stark.  

Round 1: 

Laidlaw tries to land a cross, but Hopping blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Laidlaw pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Laidlaw switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab.  
Laidlaw quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Laidlaw attempts to land a left hook, but Hopping blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Laidlaw's liver.  
Laidlaw is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with an overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hopping's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Hopping sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Laidlaw throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Laidlaw tries to keep the action at long range.  Hopping sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands an overhand left.  
Hopping is looking to close the distance and hits home with a right hook.  
Laidlaw throws a left uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Laidlaw's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Hopping's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Hopping is looking to close the distance.  As Hopping tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Laidlaw has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused a minor cut in the corner of the right eye.  .  
Hopping is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.
