Mel Strachan vs Pat MacGill

Boxing Daily Report from the Ililonga Promotions promoted show at Madison Hamell, Madison,  taking place on 06/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Wisconsin Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mel Strachan (8 - 6(1) - 3) who hails from Green Bay, USA and Pat MacGill(15 - 15(1) - 1) from Madison, USA.  Both Strachan and MacGill weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Huggett, and the three ringside judges are Sid MacLaine, Richard Cavanagh and Chris Bobet.  

Round 1: 

MacGill closes the distance.  Strachan lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
MacGill is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
MacGill manages to force Strachan onto the ropes.  MacGill hits home with a left hook.  
Strachan switches the action to the outside.  MacGill hits home with a cross.  MacGill attempts to land a cross, but Strachan slips the shot and counters with a right hook.

MacGill quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  MacGill throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Strachan time to recover.
