Boxing Daily Report from the Steel City Boxing promoted show at Temple University McGonigle Hall, Philadelphia,  taking place on 25/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Rodden (9(4) - 0) who hails from Bakersfield, USA and Owen Owen(8 - 2) from Eugene, USA.  Both Rodden and Owen weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Doig, and the three ringside judges are Stuart Briar, Richard Finnegan and John Gorry.  

Round 1: 

Rodden steps to the outside.  Rodden sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Rodden lands an overhand right, overhand left and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Owen gets on the inside.  Rodden drives a solid right uppercut into Owen's body.

Owen forces Rodden to retreat onto the ropes.  Owen throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Rodden ties up his opponent.  Rodden is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Rodden.  
Owen throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rodden lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Owen steps inside.  Rodden is on target with a right hook.  
Rodden is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.

Owen manages to force Rodden into the corner.  Owen hits home with a left uppercut.  Owen tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook to Owen's body.  
Owen lands a solid right hook.  
Owen is looking to close the distance.  Rodden is on target with a right hook.

Owen closes the distance and manages to force Rodden onto the ropes.  Rodden lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Rodden knows Owen is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Rodden lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, DROPPING OWEN TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  It looks like Owen has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Rodden lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 5, lets listen in on the corners...Owen's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
