Fumio Azuma vs Nao Kawaguchi

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Tokyo Nakama, Tokyo,  taking place on 26/01/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fumio Azuma (5 - 14 - 7) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Nao Kawaguchi(6 - 12 - 3) from Tokyo, Japan.  Both Azuma and Kawaguchi weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jiro Fukumoto, and the three ringside judges are Dai Usui, Keiichi Iida and Yuji Tsutsumi.  

Round 1: 

Azuma steps away from his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Kawaguchi pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kawaguchi tries to land a cross, but Azuma sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Azuma steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Kawaguchi slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Azuma gets on the inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Azuma dabs at his face checking for damage.
