Steven Igo vs Seth Griffin

Boxing Daily Report from the Alhassan Promotions promoted show at Perth Wyllie, Perth,  taking place on 05/02/2034:

Clearly Alhassan Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Steven Igo (16(12) - 0) who hails from Perth, Australia and Seth Griffin(4 - 2(1) - 3 - 1(NC)) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Igo and Griffin weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noah Caffrey, and the three ringside judges are Fraser Trimble, Vincent Dykes and Neil Dykes.  

Round 1: 

Igo advances into close range and hits home with a solid right uppercut.  Igo ties up his opponent.  Igo pushes his forearm into Griffin's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Igo lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Igo ties up his opponent.  Igo pushes his forearm into Griffin's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Igo about fouling.  
Igo forces Griffin to back into the corner.  Igo throws a right hook, but is not on target.  Igo ties up his opponent.  Igo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Igo is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Igo lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Igo advances into close range and drives a right hook into Griffin's body.  
Igo quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Igo drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Igo throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Igo is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Igo drives a left hook into Griffin's liver.  
Igo lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Griffin quickly recovers. 
Griffin tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with an overhand right.  
Igo closes the distance and walks his opponent into the corner.  Igo lands a FIERCE right uppercut.  GRIFFIN IS HURT!  Griffin almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Igo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Griffin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Griffin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Griffin's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Some sustained pressure from Igo could be enough to finish Griffin!  Igo is on target with a spiteful cross.  GRIFFIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Griffin now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
