Kabonesa Hamakayi vs Joel Mitambo

Boxing Daily Report from the Daduryan Promotions promoted show at Lusaka Chilembe, Lusaka,  taking place on 07/02/2034:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zambia-Lusaka Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kabonesa Hamakayi (4 - 5(2) - 1) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Joel Mitambo(24(10) - 9(8)) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Hamakayi weighed in at 147 pounds, while Mitambo weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dave Simuchele, and the three ringside judges are Wayne Chimuka, Udenwa Chiyanika and Lakista Goma.  

Round 1: 

Mitambo advances into close range and drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.  Mitambo holds on to his opponent.  Mitambo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mitambo.  
Hamakayi steps to the outside.  Mitambo feints a left hook, and then lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Mitambo gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mitambo forces Hamakayi to back into the corner.  Mitambo drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Mitambo lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mitambo lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mitambo digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Mitambo lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
Mitambo closes the distance and manages to force Hamakayi into the corner.  Mitambo is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  
Hamakayi tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mitambo hits home with a firm cross.  
Hamakayi lands a jab.  
Mitambo closes the distance and manages to force Hamakayi onto the ropes.  Mitambo throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Mitambo ties up his opponent.  Mitambo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mitambo digs in a right hook to Hamakayi's body.  Mitambo clinches his opponent.  Mitambo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Mitambo gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hamakayi tries to keep the action at long range.  Mitambo connects with a cross.

Mitambo manouvers Hamakayi into a neutral corner.  Mitambo lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Mitambo sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Mitambo closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.  Mitambo ties up his opponent.  Mitambo leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mitambo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mitambo closes the distance and forces Hamakayi to retreat onto the ropes.  Mitambo throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Mitambo ties up his opponent.  Mitambo uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Hamakayi's kidney. Mitambo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Mitambo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Mitambo steps inside and walks Hamakayi down, trapping him in the red corner.  Mitambo lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Hamakayi recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
