Joe Eddie vs David Roberts

Boxing Daily Report from the Kapenta Promotions promoted show at Savannah Towns, Savannah,  taking place on 07/02/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Georgia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joe Eddie (31(21) - 7(3)) who hails from Athens, USA and David Roberts(9 - 3 - 1) from Atlanta, USA.  Both Eddie and Roberts weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Steen, and the three ringside judges are Arran Culp, Rob Bardsley and Mason Doughty.  

Round 1: 

Eddie lands an overhand left, cross and a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Roberts almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Eddie steps to the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Eddie is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Eddie tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Eddie lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Eddie switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Eddie lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Eddie hits home with a hard jab.  
Eddie steps to the outside and lands a firm cross.  
Eddie feints a left, and then drives a jab into Roberts's body.  
Eddie hits home with a firm cross.  
Roberts sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Eddie is on target with a sharp cross.  
Roberts throws a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Eddie is on target with a cross.  
Roberts attempts to land a cross, but Eddie sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Eddie switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Eddie lands two consecutive overhand lefts to his opponents head.  
Eddie is on target with a stinging overhand left.  
Eddie hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Roberts is looking to keep the action on the outside and throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Roberts's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Roberts's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Roberts walks Eddie onto the ropes.  Eddie throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Eddie tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Eddie quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Eddie lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Eddie is looking to keep his distance.  Eddie lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Roberts throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Eddie drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Roberts gets on the inside.  Eddie lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Roberts closes the distance.  Eddie throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the punch.  Eddie clinches his opponent.  Eddie hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Eddie to stop fouling.  
Eddie lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Eddie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm cross.  
Eddie finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Eddie steps to the outside and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Eddie lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Roberts quickly recovers. 
Eddie connects with a firm overhand right.  
Eddie sidesteps to the right of his opponent and finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Eddie lands a potent overhand right.  ROBERTS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Eddie thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Roberts away.  Eddie lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body followed by two straights to the head, AND DOWN GOES ROBERTS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Roberts now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Roberts's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Roberts's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Roberts gets on the inside.  Eddie lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Eddie ties up his opponent.  Eddie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Roberts's kidney.

Eddie knows Roberts is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Eddie lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DROPS ROBERTS TO THE CANVAS!  The count reaches 10, but Roberts is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Eddie!
