Luka Petrov vs John Ferrier

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Webster Hall, New York City,  taking place on 27/02/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luka Petrov (20(13) - 0) who hails from Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia and John Ferrier(14 - 27(2) - 4) from New York City, USA.  Both Petrov and Ferrier weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Regan, and the three ringside judges are James Milner, Ellis Cammon and Joe Zurio.  

Round 1: 

Petrov is looking to keep his distance and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Petrov lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Petrov steps away from his opponent and connects with a sharp cross.  
Ferrier quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Petrov lands a spiteful jab.  
Petrov feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrov feints a right, and then lands a cross to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Petrov lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrov strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Petrov is on target with a sharp jab to Ferrier's body.  
Petrov steps to the outside and hits home with a firm cross.  
Petrov lands with a sharp jab.  
Petrov switches the action to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.

Petrov manouvers Ferrier into a corner.  Ferrier throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Petrov drives a cross into Ferrier's body.  
Petrov is on target with an overhand right.  
Petrov attempts to land a jab, but Ferrier slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Petrov tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a solid overhand left.  
Petrov is looking to keep his distance and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Petrov lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Ferrier advances into close range.  Petrov pivots to the left of his opponent.  Petrov lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS FERRIER DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  Petrov ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Ferrier pushes his forearm into Petrov's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Petrov switches the action to the outside.  Petrov senses Ferrier is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Petrov lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS FERRIER DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ferrier's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ferrier's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ferrier's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Petrov switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Ferrier feints a cross, but Petrov is not fooled and lands with a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Petrov is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a sharp cross.  
Ferrier gets on the inside.  Petrov throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Petrov holds on to his opponent.  Petrov pushes his forearm into Ferrier's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Petrov about fouling.  
Petrov steps away from his opponent and is on target with a stinging overhand right.  
Petrov lands a ramrod jab.  
Petrov lands with a spiteful jab.  
Petrov tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Petrov is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Petrov connects with a spiteful overhand right.  FERRIER IS HURT!  Ferrier quickly recovers. 
Petrov is on target with a big cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE FERRIER WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Petrov senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Petrov connects with a hurtful left hook.  FERRIER IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  Ferrier now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Petrov leans on his opponent using all his weight. Ferrier throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Petrov steps to the outside.  Petrov feints a right, and then finds the target with a ramrod jab.  
Petrov lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Petrov steps away from his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND SENDS FERRIER SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.

Ferrier steps inside.  Frustration is reaching boiling point for Ferrier now.   He turns Petrov and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref ignores Petrov's protests and signals for the action to continue!  
Petrov lands a left hook to the body, a jab to the head and a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Petrov stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Petrov lands a cross followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND FERRIER IS DOWN!  The count reaches 10, but Ferrier is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Petrov!
