Verner Strober vs Dicky Geringer

Boxing Daily Report from the BoxHaus AG promoted show at Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt,  taking place on 25/02/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Verner Strober (11(6) - 2(1)) who hails from Heidelberg, Germany and Dicky Geringer(19 - 7 - 2) from Hamburg, Germany.  Strober weighed in at 175 pounds, while Geringer weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dolph Cotta, and the three ringside judges are Drugi Strickling, Bamey Kuhne and Wilson Hennings.  

Round 1: 

Strober lands a left hook.  Strober holds on to his opponent.  Strober throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Strober tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Strober throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Geringer time to recover.  
Geringer pivots to the side of his opponent.  Strober lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Strober drives a left hook into Geringer's body.  
Strober is on target with a right hook to Geringer's body.  
Strober sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a solid right hook to Geringer's ribs.  
Strober sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Geringer lands a cross.  
Strober steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  
Geringer throws a left hook, but Strober holds on to his opponent.  Strober pushes his forearm into Geringer's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Strober walks his opponent into a corner.  Strober drives a firm right hook into his opponents body.  
Strober lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
As Geringer tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Strober dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Strober is looking to close the distance.  Strober pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Geringer wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Strober.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Strober advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Strober cuts off the ring, trapping Geringer in the corner.  Strober lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Strober holds on to his opponent.  Strober is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Strober is on target with a right hook.  
Strober digs in a right hook to Geringer's body.  
Geringer tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Strober lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

As they grapple, Strober pushes his forearm into Geringer's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Strober.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Geringer's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Geringer's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Geringer's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
