Connor Methven vs Matthew Flanagan

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Duke Energy Convention Center, Cincinnati,  taking place on 06/05/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Ohio Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Connor Methven (15(1) - 0) who hails from Columbus, USA and Matthew Flanagan(27 - 11 - 1) from Cincinnati, USA.  Methven weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while Flanagan weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Osmundsen, and the three ringside judges are Bruce Beddoe, Kenzie Schatte and Wayne Cleary.  

Round 1: 

Flanagan sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Methven throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
