Jamie Carlyle vs Diego Mandes

Boxing Daily Report from the Sugar Valley promotion promoted show at Philips Arena, Atlanta,  taking place on 14/04/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESPN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jamie Carlyle (29(3) - 4(3) - 1) who hails from Little Rock, USA and Diego Mandes(33(28) - 3(2)) from Bilbao, Spain.  Carlyle weighed in at 147 pounds, while Mandes weighed in at 146 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Noel Lawther, and the three ringside judges are Noel Lawther, Rob Bardsley and Mason Doughty.  

Round 1: 

Carlyle lands with a spiteful jab.  
Mandes is on target with a solid cross.  
Mandes advances into close range.  Carlyle pivots to the side of his opponent.  Mandes lands a right uppercut.

Carlyle tries to step out of his opponents range.  Mandes tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.

As Mandes tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carlyle dabs at his face checking for damage.
