Fanuco Catangui vs Brin Sear

Boxing Daily Report from the Skol Promotions promoted show at Auckland Raki, Auckland,  taking place on 20/04/2034:

Clearly Skol Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Fanuco Catangui (15(10) - 0) who hails from Quezon City, Philippines and Brin Sear(7 - 4 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Catangui weighed in at 126 pounds, while Sear weighed in at 124 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Chris Heretini, and the three ringside judges are Ian Skene, Paul Vaux and Joe Prosser.  

Round 1: 

Catangui steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Catangui drives a solid right hook into Sear's ribcage.  
Catangui lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Catangui is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents liver.  
Catangui lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Catangui knows Sear is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Catangui lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND SEAR IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Sear now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Catangui quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Sear pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sear throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Catangui is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sear is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Catangui lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Catangui is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Catangui lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Catangui lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  Catangui ties up his opponent.  Sear is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Catangui's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Catangui digs in a sharp right uppercut to Sear's body.  
Catangui steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Catangui sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Sear's ribs.  
Sear cuts off the ring, trapping Catangui on the ropes.  Catangui lands with a spiteful jab.  
Sear steps away from his opponent.  Catangui is on target with a hard jab.  
Catangui is looking to close the distance and drives a solid left hook into Sear's body.  Catangui ties up his opponent.  Catangui leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Catangui pushes his forearm into Sear's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Catangui closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Catangui is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sear's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Round 2: 

Sear throws a right hook, but Catangui ties up his opponent.  Catangui is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Catangui lands a jab.  
Catangui closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Catangui digs in a firm left hook to Sear's body.  
Catangui is looking to close the distance and drives a stinging left uppercut into Sear's body.  
Catangui is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Catangui knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Catangui lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS SEAR!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  Sear now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Sear is looking to keep his distance.  Catangui lands a cross to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  He then lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Catangui senses Sear is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Catangui lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND KNOCKS SEAR DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  Sear now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Catangui sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands with a sharp jab.  
Catangui advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sear tries to keep the action at long range.  Catangui lands a cross, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head.  
Catangui lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Catangui holds on to his opponent.  Catangui is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Catangui to stop fouling.  
Catangui lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Catangui digs in a stinging left hook to Sear's liver.  
Catangui quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Catangui digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Catangui gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Sear almost instantly recovers. 
Catangui digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Sear's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Sear's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Catangui walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Sear throws a right hook, but Catangui ties up his opponent.  Catangui is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Catangui uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Sear behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Catangui.  
Catangui lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Catangui lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Catangui slams a mean right hook into Sear's body.  SEAR IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Catangui gets on the inside and drives a weighty right uppercut into Sear's body.  SEAR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  
Catangui lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  As Catangui tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sear dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Sear could be stopped here, if Catangui can find the right shot!  Catangui lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND SENDS SEAR TO THE CANVAS!  The ref does not even bother with the count...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Catangui!
