Inigo Mortimer vs Bob Ridpath

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Temple University McGonigle Hall, Philadelphia,  taking place on 30/04/2034:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Inigo Mortimer (19(12) - 0) who hails from Philadelphia, USA and Bob Ridpath(23 - 11 - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Mortimer weighed in at 135 pounds, while Ridpath weighed in at 134 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Colin Blood, and the three ringside judges are John Beall, Mark Munro and Bruce Cummins.  

Round 1: 

Ridpath is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a jab, but Mortimer sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Mortimer is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and walks Ridpath down, trapping him in a corner.  Mortimer is on target with a left hook to Ridpath's ribs.

Mortimer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer advances into close range and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ridpath steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a cross, but Mortimer dodges the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Mortimer is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and digs in a sharp right hook to Ridpath's ribs.  
Mortimer walks Ridpath down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Mortimer pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Mortimer slams a nasty left hook into his opponents ribs.  RIDPATH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Mortimer closes the distance.  Mortimer sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  It looks like Ridpath has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ridpath forces Mortimer to retreat onto the ropes.  Ridpath lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ridpath steps away from his opponent and attempts to land a jab, but Mortimer slips the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Mortimer closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ridpath steps to the outside.  Mortimer feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ridpath's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Ridpath's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ridpath's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Mortimer walks Ridpath into the corner.  Mortimer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Ridpath quickly recovers. 
Mortimer digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Mortimer steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mortimer lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Mortimer stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Mortimer lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS RIDPATH!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Ridpath has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Mortimer is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a right hook, but Ridpath blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mortimer cuts off the ring, trapping Ridpath on the ropes.  Ridpath connects with a right hook.  
Mortimer lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND DOWN GOES RIDPATH!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Ridpath almost instantly recovers. 
Mortimer is on target with a stinging jab.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Mortimer drives a firm right hook into Ridpath's ribcage.  
Mortimer steps inside.  Ridpath sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mortimer lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Mortimer lands a stinging right hook.  
Mortimer gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ridpath recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mortimer closes the distance and is on target with a left uppercut to Ridpath's ribs.

Mortimer throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Mortimer holds on to his opponent.  Mortimer is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Mortimer pushes his forearm into Ridpath's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Mortimer.
