Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Michigan promoted show at Elk's Temple, Grand Rapids,  taking place on 12/05/2034:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jamie Hilley (17(12) - 1 - 1) who hails from Grand Rapids, USA and Ian Fitzpatrick(16 - 14 - 8) from Grand Rapids, USA.  Both Hilley and Fitzpatrick weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lewis Chiens, and the three ringside judges are Max Gura, Mike Devin and Nick McGowan.  

Round 1: 

Hilley steps inside.  Fitzpatrick pivots to the left of his opponent.  Hilley is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hilley digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Hilley holds on to his opponent.  Hilley is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Hilley's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hilley digs in a left hook to Fitzpatrick's body.  
Hilley manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Hilley lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hilley drives a left hook into Fitzpatrick's body.  Hilley holds on to his opponent.  Hilley pushes his forearm into Fitzpatrick's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fitzpatrick pivots to the side of his opponent.  Fitzpatrick throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hilley is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Hilley lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hilley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hilley steps inside and manouvers Fitzpatrick into the corner.  Hilley lands a left hook.  
Hilley lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Fitzpatrick tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Hilley parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut to Fitzpatrick's ribs.  
Hilley sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Hilley closes the distance.  Hilley sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hilley lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Hilley holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Hilley pushes his forearm into Fitzpatrick's face.  The ref breaks Hilley's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Fitzpatrick quickly recovers. 
Hilley drives a stinging right hook into Fitzpatrick's ribcage.  
Hilley feints a cross, but Fitzpatrick ignores the feint and responds with a left hook.  
Hilley is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the corner.  Hilley lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Fitzpatrick almost instantly recovers. 
Hilley lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  Hilley tries to land a right hook, but Fitzpatrick parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hilley throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Hilley ties up his opponent.  Hilley leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hilley tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Fitzpatrick's kidney. 
Hilley is on target with a solid left hook to Fitzpatrick's body.  
Hilley sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right uppercut.

Hilley closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Hilley steps inside and digs in a stinging left hook to Fitzpatrick's body.  FITZPATRICK IS HURT!  Fitzpatrick recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Fitzpatrick throws a left uppercut, but Hilley holds on to his opponent.  Hilley leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Hilley pushes his forearm into Fitzpatrick's face.  The ref breaks Hilley's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fitzpatrick's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Fitzpatrick's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Hilley tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Fitzpatrick behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hilley to stop fouling.  
Hilley gets on the inside and walks Fitzpatrick down, trapping him on the ropes.  Fitzpatrick attempts to land a left hook, but Hilley blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook to Fitzpatrick's ribs.
