Callum Hew vs Shamus Myres

Boxing Daily Report from the AI UK-Scotland promoted show at Dens Park Stadium, Dundee,  taking place on 14/05/2034:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a tournament fight from The Kurusu Cup.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Callum Hew (14(11) - 0) who hails from Sunshine Coast, Australia and Shamus Myres(32(25) - 0 - 1) from Belfast, UK.  Hew weighed in at 233 pounds and 11 ounces, while Myres weighed in at 244 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Robert Calderwood, and the three ringside judges are David Yates, Frank Furguson and Dominic Jones.

Hew tries to land a left hook, but Myres dodges the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Hew is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Myres steps inside.  Myres pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Hew is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
Myres is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Myres pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Myres steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Hew quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hew attempts to land a right uppercut, but Myres sidesteps and counters with a weighty right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE HEW WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Hew almost instantly gets his legs back.

Hew throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Myres closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Myres steps inside.  Hew drives a left uppercut into Myres's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hew's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Hew's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Myres lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
The right shot from Myres could be enough to force the stoppage!  Myres lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS HEW DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  Hew now seems to have got his legs back.  
Hew steps to the outside.  Myres hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Hew is looking to keep his distance and drives a spiteful jab into his opponents face.  
Myres quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Hew is on target with a firm cross.  
Myres sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hew tries to land a jab, but Myres slips the shot and counters with a MASSIVE left hook.  HEW WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Hew almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Hew is on target with a cross to Myres's body.  
Myres steps inside.  Myres lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hew switches the action to the outside and hits home with a hard jab.  
Myres advances into close range.  Myres lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS HEW!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
Myres knows Hew is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Myres connects with a DESTRUCTIVE right hook.  HEW IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Myres!
